Philosophy of Care
Care at Blanchelande Park is of the highest standards and is based on promoting the independence and maintaining the individuality, privacy and dignity of each and every person who lives here.

Every resident is assigned a key worker, following individual care plans that are reviewed regularly. A Registered General Nurse is on duty 24 hours a day, supported by sufficient care assistants to attend to residents at all times.

Great emphasis is placed on training of care staff, with a high proportion of assistants having achieved the National Vocational Qualification through our in-house training scheme that has earned special commendation. The entire establishment comes under the control of a highly qualified Matron who has extensive experience in caring for the elderly.

Nursing staff and assistants are here to care for you whenever needed and will organise prescriptions, assist with baths or showers if required, conduct regular observations, arrange appointments with dentists, opticians or GPs when necessary and generally assist with any medical requirements.

During the night the Sister in charge will happily check on residents if they wish. If residents prefer more privacy, each room is equipped with a Nurse Call system that can be used at any time if assistance is required.
